Meet The Team
Dr. Judie Harrington is the Academic Director and Owner of NRICH Tutoring. She is an experienced elementary teacher, who also has taught college students preparing to be K-8 teachers. Since opening NRICH Tutoring in 2017, she has seen hundreds of students of all ages. Her experience with struggling readers in her family and her classroom made her sensitive to their needs and challenges. As an academic, she learned the importance of staying current with research and questioning practices that do not align with research. As a tutor, she uses the science of reading and works hard to incorporate best practices based on that. Dr. Judie created NRICH Tutoring as a place where students can be enriched and empowered to be the best they can be.

Dr. Judie has been licensed as an elementary and reading teacher in Florida, Wisconsin, and Minnesota (Navy families get around!).
